Robbins Avenue.
Formerly The J.F. Morris residence at 415 Robbins, it
was the location of Reese-Wynn-Winyard-McDermott Funeral Home
and now Lane Funeral Home.
Morris was a dealer in hardware and stoves in
the 1890’s. His store was located on State Street across
from the old Post Office. This was located between Little Annie’s
Inn and Jensen’s Hardware near the curve on the west side
of State Street. He was partners with R.G. Sykes, then
later bought Syke's share of the hardware store.
The Trumbull County Auditor lists the construction
date as 1901. However, the image of the J.W. Morris residence
from the Trumbull County Atlas has a publication date of 1895.
