Morris residence at 415 Robbins, it was the location of Reese-Wynn-Winyard-McDermott Funeral Home and now Lane Funeral Home. Morris was a dealer in hardware and stoves in the 1890’s. His store was located on State Street across from the old Post Office. This was located between Little Annie’s Inn and Jensen’s Hardware near the curve on the west side of State Street. He was partners with R.G. Sykes, then later bought Syke's share of the hardware store. The Trumbull County Auditor lists the construction date as 1901. However, the image of the J.W. Morris residence from the Trumbull County Atlas has a publication date of 1895. Information from Trumbull County Auditor's website: Janice McDermottt was listed as the owner in 1990. On June 12, 1998, Janice McDermott was listed as the owner with a purchase price of $300,000. On March 23, 2005, the Garfield Drive Land Company was listed as the owner with a purchase price of $961,000. On January 6, 2023 Jalcon Corporation (Heritage Ohio LLC) was listed as the owner with a purchase price of $1,660,550.

Niles Daily Times June 3, 1966 Reese Funeral Home in Niles is now operated by Winyard, Wynn. The Reese Funeral Home, established 30 years ago by the late Richard W. Reese, is today being operated by two men who began their apprenticeship with him shortly after its opening. Thomas G. Winyard and Wallace L. Wynn joined the Reese Funeral home in 1938 and 1942 respectively. After graduating from Niles McKinley High School, Winyard graduated from the Cleveland College of Mortuary Science in 1942. Following duty with the U.S. Air Force in the Pacific Theatre during WWII, Winyard returned to his work at the funeral home. Wynn received his degree from the Cleveland College of Mortuary Science in 1950, following his service in the European Theatre in the U.S. Army during WWII. Niles Daily Times February 15, 1945 The wedding of Miss Audrey Jean Reese, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. Reese, to Sgt. Wallace L. Wynn took place in the First Christian Church. 	Warren Tribune-Chronicle August 9, 2024 Church Resurects Funeral Home site for Parking. Boccia Demolition workers, Richard Boccia and Terry Dickson, tear down the former Lane Funeral Home's Robbins Avenue location in Niles. Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, which can be seen in the background, will use the property for additional church parking. The building dates back to the middle 1890s.
